Home of The Brave Brewing Company went from contract brewing with Maui Brewing Company to opening The Brewseum in a short amount of time. It’s a mix of American military history and Home of The Brave beer featuring Pilot Pale Ale, Remember Pearl Harbor Dark Lager and some seasonal favorites.
This company is owned operated by the Tomlinson family, and some friends. You may have guessed, there is a lot of military history in that family, and they try to bring that to you as soon as you walk in their doors.
The Tomlinson family is joined by brewmaster Jeff Doyle. He is the one to thank for their flagship beer, Pilot Ale. He also brewed the next one, Remember Pearl Harbor. That beer was made to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
It’s hard to find a bad review about this place, just a lot of happy people drinking quality craft beer. Trivia night seems to be a big hit, in fact, if you don’t arrive early enough you will be standing. Thursdays are for local live music and then there is Tail Hook Tuesday, for those of you that like landing jets on aircraft carriers.
Be sure to understand the hours before making the trip. Tuesday through Thursday it’s 5-10 PM. Fridays and Saturdays you get an extra hour to party, 5-11 PM. If you are in the area plan on stopping by, 901 Waimanu Street, Honolulu.
