Fried Shumai is a very popular appetizer for beer. Today, I’m going to add to it one more thing which is coconut. I think a good brown ale or medium strong ale would work well with this. Enjoy this unusual take on a classic Chinese dim sum food.
Ingredients
- Frozen Shumai
- Coconut flakes
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 tablespoon water
- Oil or deep fry
Directions
- Heat frozen Shumai according to the package instruction. Let them cool.
- Chop coconut into small pieces. Set aside.
- Mix flour and water for batter. Dip Shumai in the batter.
- Coat with coconut.
- Deep fry.
- Stick with toothpicks if you want.
