Kabayaki sauce is convenient. It is sold as “Unagi Sushi Sauce” by Kikkoman. When I found this at my local store, I hesitated to buy it because it is not cheap for a small size bottle. But, this sauce is very thick and you need only a small portion. So I am happy to have this sauce. (I don’t have any relation with the Kikkoman company.)
Ingredients
- 1 block tofu
- Potato starch
- 2 to 3 tablespoons of Kabayaki Sauce
- 1 to 2 tablespoons of oil
Directions
- Slice Tofu and wipe off excess moisture.
- Coat with potato starch.
- In non-stick fry pan, cook tofu with oil.
- After potato coating becomes crispy, wipe excess oil in fry pan with a paper towel.
- Pour Kabayaki sauce.
- Coat Kabayaki sauce quickly by shaking pan.
